I started my career in higher education as a faculty member and have been fortunate to continue to help students learn what is possible for themselves and others through sport, athletics and recreation.
The roar of the crowd, the ping of the bat and the distinct swoosh of the ball hitting the net – these are just a few of the sounds that convey the excitement of Salisbury University athletics. To the delight of student-athletes, coaches and fans, the largest expansion and redevelopment of athletics facilities in the University’s history has occurred on East Campus in recent years. The new Sea Gull Stadium is among the best in Division III athletics, and we want to continue to help nurture and grow traditions of excellence throughout our athletics programs. It is a team effort. A winning spirit is pervasive at SU.
The Sea Gulls who wear the maroon and gold excel in competition and in the classroom. Our 21 varsity programs have earned 20 team and 24 individual national championships at the NCAA Division III level. SU has had nearly 40 scholar-athletes named Academic All-Americans and has ranked in the top four of the Capital Athletic Conference’s All-Academic list for the past 10 years. We want these traditions of excellence to continue.
